Rp 300 Million Prepared to Repair 13 Youth Center Buildings in Jakarta

The Jakarta Youth and Sport Agency (Dispora) is about to repair 13 youth centers at the sub-district level in four administrative cities. They consist of 4 youth centers in East Jakarta, 3 youth centers in West Jakarta, 4 youth centers in South Jakarta, and 2 youth centers in Central Jakarta.

The auction will open in May and the work will start in June

Head of Jakarta Dispora Achmad Firdaus mentioned the old youth center buildings were repaired because they had been standing for more than 10 years or at the era of former Jakarta Governor Ali Sadikin.

"Thank God, we can do a full repair this year after it had stagnated from 2020 to 2021 because of pandemic and insufficient budget," he stated, Wednesday (4/13).

To support sports achievements in Jakarta, the repair became a priority because the place used to accommodate youths and sports activities at the sub-district level.

His side allocated a budget of Rp 300 million for repairing 13 youth center buildings and targeted the work to start in June 2022.

"We have entered the planning stage. The auction will open in May and the work will start in June," he explained.

The following are 30 youth centers at the sub-district level that will be fully repaired in 2022:

East Jakarta

- Cakung Sub-district Youth Center.

- Kramat Jati Sub-district Youth Center.

- Pasar Rebo Sub-district Youth Center

- Jatinegara Sub-district Youth Center

West Jakarta

- Kalideres Sub-district Youth Center

- Kembangan Sub-district Youth Center

- Palmerah Sub-district Youth Center

South Jakarta

- Kebayoran Baru Sub-district Youth Center

- Kebayoran Lama Sub-district Youth Center

- Tebet Sub-district Youth Center

- Mampang Prapatan Sub-district Youth Center

Central Jakarta

- Kemayoran Sub-district Youth Center

- Johar Baru Sub-district Youth Center
